Now now now….there is nothing to put up with; they’re all very easy-going, low-maintenance animals….and they’re all so happy, too. Now if they were all like Wapek, bless his doggie soul, that would be another story.

Yeah, it’s a simple hip scarf. I don’t think it will have the visual slenderizing effect I’d like it to have, though.

Belly dance is supposed to be very good for women’s health. I’ve only noticed very positive improvements in my back pain (there’s less of it). Despite channeling my inner klutz most of the time when I’m in class, I enjoy practicing and being in sync with the music.

Very pretty~

And…I had back surgery 25 years ago…now, at 62, I wish I had found belly dance back then!

For 6 years I have been dancing….and now teaching! My back is so much better….and everything grows younger!

Keep up the dancing…the lower back and everything else will benefit amazingly!

I would’ve purchased ladybugs, if there were any locally; they aren’t for sale at garden shops in Tucson until it’s warmer, and by then my need is gone. I’ve seen one “wild” ladybug so far. Lacewings are also good for aphid control. I think my problem here is that I just didn’t thin out the old lettuce. At one point this winter my raised bed looked like a giant head of butter lettuce.

Ouch! Wasn’t expecting aphids so early. I had better check, too. I hope there are ladybugs available. Your raised beds of lettuce are beautiful.

Sean, I’m looking forward to the Come Home Year and seeing where my grandparents (Aylward/O’Neill) are from. Living in a rural area is hard, economically; there’s always more job prospects in cities. And then, it’s developmentally appropriate (and often inevitable) to leave one’s home-town and family and place of origin to try and make a go of it in the world; and then like you said, as you get older you often find that you like and miss that which you tried to escape from. It’s funny (as in: interesting funny, not ha-ha funny) how that works.

I look forward to meeting you, too. Should be fun. BTW I’ve heard only great things about St. John’s. I’m bringing my fiddle!
