Saguaro Storm

Saguaro Storm, Tucson Quilt Guild Annual Show 2007

2006. 60″ x 72″

This original design is made from hand-dyed cotton and silk organza fabric. Techniques used include: hand applique, machine applique, reverse applique, machine embroidery, couched yard, couched silk cord, bobbin drawing.

I loved making this piece; anyone who’s ever seen a saguaro forest early in the morning, after a winter storm and there’s fog that hasn’t lifted yet…if you’ve seen this, you know what I’m talking about.

Sold.
